Privacy

Short version: there's no account here, no login and no form to fill in, so there's nothing for us to hold about you. What follows is the detail, because a page saying "we respect your privacy" and stopping there isn't useful.

Nothing you type is sent anywhere

The converter runs entirely in your browser. The amount you enter is multiplied by a price your browser already downloaded, and the result is printed on screen. That number never leaves your device, isn't logged, and isn't included in the link you click afterwards beyond the amount you chose to carry over.

We never ask for an address, an email or a name, so please don't send us one.

What your browser does contact

Two outside services while a page is open. Fonts come from Google Fonts, and current prices come from a public market data API. Both requests reveal your IP address to those providers, the way any request to any website does. Neither one receives anything about what you were doing on this page.

Measurement

This site runs Google Analytics to count page views and see which pages get read. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_1N5CRWCL0L, which tell one browser from another, and reports aggregate figures: page views, rough country, device type. It never receives what you typed into the converter, and we don’t sell or share the data.

About cookies

Besides the two Google Analytics cookies described above, this site sets none of its own. Your browser may cache fonts and images so the pages load faster next time, which is ordinary caching rather than anything we control or read.

When you click through

Clicking through to swap takes you to a third-party exchange. From that point their privacy policy governs, not this one. They may collect things we never would — that's between you and them, and it's worth reading their terms before you send anything.

Children

The site isn't aimed at anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect anything from minors.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it. Since there's no mailing list, the only way to know is to read it again.
